He hadn't actually expected, of course, that he'd be permitted to watch whatever it was Layla needed to learn from Doom (and vice versa), but he was no less impressed for the confirmation than he was for the hunch. He frowned at Layla, not bothering to hide his contempt for the situation they'd found themselves in.
