Feeling strangely safe, protected by the gesture, she turned her head to return the kiss about as chastely back- and ended up gasping, very quietly as her breath caught, against his mouth. She made a small noise and ducked her forehead against his shoulder, sliding a hand to the back of his neck. Her breath sped up and she felt even warmer than she had a moment ago.
