There was no hesitation in his returning kiss, and Jamie sighed, quietly, against her mouth, even as he wished the angle was better. His eyes slipped shut again nevertheless, following her lead, too pliable from sleepiness to consider any other option. Lifting the arm he'd draped over her waist, he brought up his hand to cup her cheek, to keep her close, though, for once, he was certain she wasn't going to disappear.
