Once he'd processed the implications, Jamie grinned unabashedly. It wasn't the sort of expression that had any place in a self-professed noir detective's playbook. It made him look a bit goofy, truth be told, a little too stupidly in love for his liking on a normal day, but they were alone, protected by the privacy of his bedroom. Not even the dog was around to bear witness, having spent the night in the other room. It was all a little surreal.
