"Well, only the lover is married," he said, rolling his eyes at the absurdity of something that even sounded remotely like a justification. It wasn't, of course. There was, he felt sure, no justifying this. "And with any luck, it'll stay that way. I mean, Terry can't possibly marry this man, it's, it's... Ludicrous! Who the hell agrees to something like that?"
